Connect with God and others

This Week's Full Commentary Notes

The most reliable source for scripture is the Bible: God's word, Absolute Truth that is living; Sharper than a two edged sword, able to separate bone from marrow.
Here are some commentaries from different authors.

This Weeks Lectionary Readings

Jeremiah 23:1-6

A reminder for not only those shepherding our churches but how we are to look to the one true shepherd for any of life's issues.

Psalm 23

Commentary about the book of psalms and specifically chapter 23.

Ephesians 2:11-22

We shall always remember where we came from in order to see the amazing miracles God has bestowed upon us to be called His Children.

Mark 6:30-34, 53-56

An overall wonderful commentary for anyone in their walk with Christ!

 Last Weeks Lectionary Readings

Amos 7:7-15

A great reminder to speak God's truth when He asks of you.

Mark 6:14-29

Great commentary about how Jesus is the ultimate conqueror, even in the midst of great political powers.

Psalm 85:8-13

Commentary about all of Psalm 85, I encourage you all to read the full Psalm 85, it gives this last part of the Psalm real meaning as to what the Psalmist was conveying and why.

Ephesians 1:3-14

This commentary doesn't go over much about what our Triune God has done for us before the foundations of the world, but goes into a more "big picture" type of stance, including all of Ephesians and how God orchestrates the mystery talked about in chapter one.

Ephesians 1:3-14

This is the Matthew Henry Commentary. It digs in deep to all things Paul discusses in these verses. I really enjoyed his insight into the spiritual blessings God gives us.
